How I Ditched the Scale, Faced Body Trauma, and Found Natural Health

In this raw and vulnerable episode, I share my full physical health journey—the transformation from self-neglect and shame to finding intuitive movement and body trust. If you've ever felt defined by a number on the scale, frustrated by dieting, or held back by past body image trauma, this conversation is for you.

Ahead, hear my journey from being labeled "obeisha" in middle school to navigating years of treating my body poorly during drug use—eating like crap and only moving at clubs. I detail the crucial turning point at the end of 2021 when I went off birth control cold turkey and started cycle syncing, only to hit a wall because my goal was still the toxic, external one: losing weight.

Discover the pivotal breakthrough in late 2023 when I stopped punishing my body and started asking, "What movements and foods make my body FEEL good?" This shift was the secret to natural weight loss, sustainable health, and profound self-acceptance. We explore how my current routine honors my cycle with gentle yoga and Pilates at home and strategic strength exercises during the follicular and ovulation phases.

This episode offers a new perspective on fitness and wellness, proving that you cannot restrict your way to a healthy life. Learn how prioritizing your internal state—your feeling—is the key to unlocking your body's true vitality and leaving behind the shame of diet culture and past trauma.

We also talk about:
